The new year is always a great time to look back over what has gone well in the last year and where you have failed and come up with some goals for the next year. Personally, this is a task I would like to be doing on a monthly or even weekly basis. Hmmm…maybe that’s my first goal of the year. Evaluate and make new goals monthly.
Anyway, this last year has been full of new things, such as this is the first year I have not spend any time pregnant in five years! But Lord willing this trend will not continue as we definitely want more blessings from the Lord. We have been spending most of this year being careful since I have needed work on my back done. It truly has been quite the struggle with insurance and getting in to see various doctors. I have had one procedure done (Radio Frequency Ablation to my SI joints if you are interested), and now need a RFA on my lower back facet joints. He did this two years ago and it gave me about two years of relief. Supposedly it gets longer and longer between treatments. Anyway, hopefully that will be taken care of in the next couple of weeks. Because of my back pain and such working out and doing many of the things I want to do has been tough. Another one of my goals for this year, once my back is fixed, is to work out on a daily basis. I will start by doing wii fit just a bit each day until my body gets stronger.
As far as weight loss goes for last year I am down 14 pounds. It’s not a huge weight loss for a whole year but it’s way better than having gained. This year I want to focus more on eating healthy and tracking what I eat. I would love to lose 50 pounds this year, of course if I get pregnant that won’t happen, but that would be just fine with us.
Spiritually it has been an up and down year. I started out strong, getting up early and leading Good Morning Girl’s studies. But as with most things I ended up not finishing strong. If I had one theme for this next year I would say that would be it. To finish strong next year. To finish strong in the things I start. I always have good plans but the follow through and the discipline is sorely lacking.
So what are your goals this year? How do you plan to achieve them? Leave me a note in the comments and I will be praying for you as we make 2013 the best year yet.
